I had Cutie Cake cupcakes and cookies at a baby shower this weekend, and I can't stop thinking about them!! I am seriously considering what else I can do in SF to justify the trip out there just for desserts! The cupcakes were so moist and the frosting and fresh fruit topping was perfect. The ones we had were mini cupcakes, so you could try all of them, I had the cherry and strawberry ones, and they were fabulous.
Cutie Cake cupcakes are SO special because Monique is such a creative being! She totally understands color scheme, flavor, occasion...she is really detailed in her work, whether it's dark chocolate shavings you want instead of milk chocolate or if you love blueberry and lemons and want a blueberry lemon cupcake...she really listens, so you can really make your event special! Plus you can tell she knows what she's doing- she has a lot of experience with baking, so she can give you good recommendations if you're having a hard time deciding, or just want to try something new, but aren't familiar with how things might taste. I special ordered Cutie Cake cupcakes for my boyfriend's birthday last year at Bambuddah Lounge and THEY WERE PERFECT!!!!!! She was even able to provide candles that matched my color scheme (teal and lime green) and the presentation made his surprise birthday party wonderful!!!! I was SO happy with the results, totally worth it!!!!!! I also heard that soon they were going to start selling certain flavors at Heartfelt in Bernal Heights. Makes me want to move there. If you like homemade, professional-looking and TASTY cupcakes with amazing and flexible service for your occasions, Cutie Cake is definitely the way to go!
Monique's cupcakes are one of the best I ever had! Her cupcakes are homemade with fresh ingredients and only uses seasonal fruits. The frosting is sweet but not overly sweet like sprinkles cupcakes.
